Not to be a tease but,
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION … HOW I BEGIN EACH RECIPE
- I read the recipe. YES, THE WHOLE THING START TO FINISH!
- Make sure that I have all of the ingredients. IN FRONT OF ME!
- Make sure that I have all of my equipment. AND THEN SOME!
- Make sure that that the oven is preheated. NOT JUST IF IT TELLS YOU WITH A “DING”!
Soooo what I mean by writing in CAPITAL LETTERS
- Read the recipe once, twice, three times if I must, so that I absolutely know what I am going to be doing for the next hour or two.
- Have all ingredients within arms reach (or close by.)
- Have bowls, spatulas, measuring cups and spoons, mixer and anything I can think of out (again at arms reach.) And take out extra stuff – I can always put it away clean. I don’t want to be rummaging through cabintets with greasy paws.
- Use an oven thermometer, they are really inexpensive and, trust me, it has saved me from raw centers in my cookies.
Ok, I have aired all of those pre-baking thoughts and I am ready to roll (pun intended!)
