OK, I have to come clean. I didn’t read the next recipe ’til the end. Bad move.
It’s a Lemon Lumpie with candied lemon peels. Easy peasy. Right…with an asterisk.
The candied lemon peel recipe was in the appendix and I sort of didn’t bother to really read it until a day before I was set to bake. Mistake. The “real ” recipe for candied lemon peel takes days. Yes, days. I had one day. Asterisk – there is a condensed version that only takes overnight. Phew.
